Kid Zone Fun Care

I thought I’d share with you parents this wonderful browser called Zoodles. I’ve been playing around with it and am really impressed!  The kids will be using it at my house, but thought you may need it on your computer at home.

I like this one better than Peanut Butter because Zoodles finds the games FOR you!  On Peanut Butter you have to manually put the game links in as you find them.  However,  Peanut Butter is better for using any of your own picture, music or game files that are stored on your computer that you make available for your child.  But for kids to jump on and browse for online sites that enrich learning and provide fun stuff, this looks to be the cat’s meow!

As you’ll see if you check it out, the basic browser is free, but then there is a “premium” version for around $8 a month that has additional features.  I think that’s pretty good.  That would pay for just a few video games (UNeducational) at your local entertainment center.

You’ve probably seen our caterpillars that Miss Karen (Shepherd) gave us. These are attracted by a plant in her yard each year. She was kind of enough to share some with us and now the kids have been watching our caterpillars eat and eat and eat…so much I’m going to have trouble finding more of the plant to feed them if Miss Karen doesn’t have any. Covington’s Nursery, here I come!  I’ve raised Monarchs before (inspired by Miss Karen, also known as the Butterfly Lady to some), but this is the first time my class has been able to watch a Swallowtail. Thank you, Miss Karen!
